WHAT IS AYURVEDUA
Ayurveda is a 5,000-year-old holistic system of health that originated in India. The word Ayurveda means “the science of life.” Rather than treating symptoms in isolation, Ayurveda looks at the whole person — body, mind, emotions, lifestyle, digestion, nervous system, and sense of purpose.
At its heart, Ayurveda asks:
-
What is out of balance right now?
-
What does this individual woman need to return to steadiness, vitality, and ease?
Ayurveda recognises that midlife is a profound transition, not a problem to fix. Hormonal shifts, changing identity, emotional fatigue, grief, and questioning one’s direction are seen as natural thresholds — moments that call for care, slowing down, and deep nourishment.
Many women in midlife describe feeling:
Stuck or disconnected
Anxious or emotionally flat
Exhausted but unable to rest
Inflamed, achy, or in pain
Foggy, unmotivated, or overwhelmed
Ayurveda understands these experiences through the lens of imbalance in the nervous system, digestion, hormones, and energy systems, often driven by years of over-giving, stress, and ignoring the body’s signals.
